We're all moved in at the new place, and I'm back at work. Today I finished some housekeeping tasks for Legacy, too. The animation system is finally put back together, and I'm generally happy with the state of the code, so I'm ready to move forward.
It looks like one of the first things I need to do is revisit AI, because the current implementation is getting in the way of fun. I need it to be faster and more predictable, so that I can iterate on the core tactical mechanics. There's a lot of things to try out, like Beacons, and mini CCG/Dominion -style character advancement. Mission structures. Monsters and Puzzles.
You know, the fun stuff.
