Progress has been a bit slow over the past couple months, due to travel and real-estate shenanigans, but here's where I am right now.
Campaigns are a thing!
You can start a campaign and it will generate a world map and some heroes for you. It gives you some time controls, up at the top. And the first thing that happens is that a mission becomes available.
When you click on this you get a party select screen, with a list of your heroes and (eventually) details about the job.

When you're happy with your party you can continue. It takes time for them to travel to their destination, and then you get another prompt to run the mission.
The mission will start and your chosen party will populate it.
I was really, really surprised at how much work this all was. I guess I was used to having most of the scaffolding in place, like we've had for missions for quite a while. But this campaign stuff was all freeclimbing. And there's a lot left to do. For example, victory and defeat conditions for the mission, merging results with the campaign, and applying outcomes.
But well, once that's done, we should be back to a more comfortable place, where I can focus on incrementally adding game systems and content. I'm looking forward to it. I don't like going so long without showing visible progress. I've had to keep reminding myself that this systems stuff is really necessary.
